I’ve wanted to paint my whole life never thinking I was creative enough or artistic enough. But when my husband passed away, I thought what the heck let’s give it a shot. I went online and watched a few videos and taught myself how to paint. Some of my paintings look like mom Mobley painted them some of them look like some crazy person painted them and others look somewhat traditional. I just love to paint. I do it for the therapeutic aspect of it. When I’m painting, I don’t think of anything else, but painting. It takes my mind off all my worries. I would recommend anybody who is considering taking up painting to just do it. Don’t worry if you’re good enough don’t worry what your paintings look like just do it. Watch some videos on YouTube they have plenty of tutorials to help you learn and there are plenty of people who will help you. It’s fun and very therapeutic. You have nothing to lose. Go for it.
