About Art League of Lincoln

The Art League of Lincoln (ALL) has been serving the greater Lincoln California area since 2012 through exhibits, shows, tours, education and other activities for artists and art appreciators.

Our Mission

The Art League of Lincoln has been formed for charitable purposes, to promote, foster and support the arts in the greater Lincoln area through exhibits, shows, tours, education and other activities for artists and art appreciators.

Vision

We thrive as a vital cultural center for the Greater Lincoln Area by fostering educational and innovative events in visual arts, music, and poetry through local partnerships.  These partnerships include alliances with the City of Lincoln, Chamber of Commerce, Western Placer School District, Downtown Lincoln Association, other non-profit groups and various constituencies within the community.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement

Regardless of race, socio-economic status, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, gender, or marital status, we are an organization that celebrates the richness of our community.

To that end, “We are committed to looking at organization-wide practices through an equity lens and making any necessary changes to our policies and practices as we strive for equitable and inclusive practices. We also commit to proactively recruit people of color, all religious and gender orientations, and backgrounds for leadership positions on our Board of Directors and Key Volunteer Chairs.”

Our History

Previously the organization was “Lincoln Arts” from 1986-2012.

The Art League of Lincoln (aka “ALL”) has been serving the greater Lincoln California area since 2012 through exhibits, shows, tours, education, and other activities for artists and art appreciators. Our initial focus was showcasing two and three-dimensional art exhibits, in addition to offering art classes for adults and children. Later, we added our gift shop, featuring local artists’ creations.

Since 2012, we expanded our activities to include various partnerships and projects to engage and support our community.

Some of the more recent activities include:

Rotating Exhibit: “Lincoln’s City Hall Rotunda Gallery”. Featuring student exhibits from local schools and works from local/regional art groups for the public to enjoy. These ongoing collaborative exhibits are on a rotation basis.

“Small Feats of Clay”: Celebrating our region’s deep, rich history in Ceramic arts, rooted in Lincoln’s Gladding McBean clay factory.

ClayFest (aka Clay Day): This event is free to the community and brings out many families as well as art appreciators. Held in Beermann Plaza, the event features clay carving, Kids Clay Camp, street performers and artisans.

November is the Placer Artists Art Studios Tour. ALL was the Presenting Sponsor in 2021 & 2022 of this public event, which featured over 100 local artists at their studios and shops throughout Placer County.

ALL Gallery & Spotlight Gallery Exhibits: Our Main gallery, “6th Street Gallery” presents 6-8 exhibits per year, and the Spotlight Gallery presents 12 exhibits annually.

In 2021 we introduced the “Singer/Songwriter” Showcase, which was well received, and we will offer future music performances.

Art in Public Places: An ongoing public art exhibit of murals featuring Lincoln’s rich ethnic culture of immigrants who developed the region’s community and farms and worked in the Gladding McBean Clay factory. New public art is being planned as well as mural tours.

ALL are introducing a new ArtWalk program in Lincoln to be held at least twice annually, where art will be in businesses for viewing, and a reception event will be held in which the public will visit business to business.
