The Art League of Lincoln is rekindling the FEATS OF CLAY Art Show and Competition in West Placer County, CA.  The show legacy celebrates the rich history in clay competitions and was formerly held at Gladding McBean Clay Manufacturing Company in Lincoln, CA. The 2024 Feats of Clay Competition will be a regional competition, with hopes to expand in future years.

ENTRY FEES: $40 for up to 3 pieces.

TIMELINE OF EXHIBIT

  • ENTRY DEADLINE:  Entry application and payment must be received by Saturday, June 1st.
  • ACCEPTED MEDIA: All types of ceramic works are encouraged: sculptural, functional, tiles, vessels, all types of clay and firing techniques.
  • NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTED ART:  Artists will be emailed acceptance notices no later than June 6th. 
  • ART DELIVERY:  All artwork must be submitted BY HAND IN PERSON on Sunday, June 9th noon – 3pm or Monday June 10th between noon – 3 pm. to The Art League of Lincoln, 580 Sixth Street, Lincoln CA  95648
  • EXHIBIT DATES:  The show will be on exhibit from June 13th – July 7th at the 6th Street Gallery inside the Art Center at 580 Sixth Street, Lincoln, CA, 95648. The Art League is open Thursday-Sunday 11 am – 3 pm.
  • RECEPTION: Friday June 14th from 7 – 8:30 pm (VIP First look preview June 14th from 6 – 7 pm)
  • AWARDS: $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded, including 1st ($600), 2nd ($400), 3rd ($200), Honorable Mentions (2 at $100), People’s Choice ($200), Founders Award ($150), Merit Awards ($1000 total) and Purchase Awards ($1000 total).
  • PICK UP ART:  Artwork may be picked up from 3 pm-5 pm on Sunday July 7th or on Monday, July 8th from 3 to 6 pm.

This photography show, titled Captured Expressions will accept all forms of photography including film, digital, experimental, and color and B&W photographic images. Captured Expressions includes photography of people, landscapes, abstracts, manipulated imagery – it’s how the photographer sees a subject matter – and captures how he/she sees it!!

ART DELIVERY: All artwork must be submitted in person on Sunday, February 25th, between 12:00–3:00 p.m. to the Art League of Lincoln, 580 Sixth Street, Lincoln CA 95648.  NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTED ART: Artists will be emailed within 3 days of submission.
