About
Bob Green aka: “Bober” Bob Green, born Robert W. Green, Jr. in Oklahoma City, December 25, 1946, retired from careers in banking, residential building, development and commercial real estate brokerage to Sun City Lincoln Hills, CA in 2018, where my lifelong interest in art was rekindled. My wife, Judith, and I have five grown children, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren living all over the US. We also enjoy traveling and viewing the art all over the world. My artistic process involves an impressionist approach to painting and trying to push the boundaries of acrylics to create unique and expressive pieces. I am inspired by light, color and shapes. My work is inspired by impressionists like Leonard Wren and John Singer Sargent, and I am particularly interested in exploring landscape, portrait and abstract themes through my art. I have exhibited my work in art shows in Northern California, and have been fortunate enough to have my pieces win honors in juried exhibitions, including the Sun City Fine Arts Show, the Art League of Lincoln Show and the Santa Rosa Harvest Fair Show. For fun, I use “Bober” as my Artistic Pin Name on my paintings. I got that nickname during a trip to Hong Kong in 2000. Robert was misspelled by the hotel staff and they started calling me Bober. I also offer fine Giclee prints on canvas of my paintings 🙂 |
