Explore and learn the ancient emerging art of encaustic with Charlotte Cooper and Rhonda Campbell. We will explore the practice of painting with pigments suspended in melted beeswax and tree resin. The class will cover; preparing the birch panels, applying the translucent color, fusing the layers, incorporating ephemera, incising and other mark making. You will leave with finished panels in your hands - and a whole new world of possibilities in your head.
10am-4pm (30 minute break for lunch – please bring your lunch)
