Special Family Reception and Author Book Reading on Saturday, February 11 from 1 - 3 pm.

Through the Eyes of a Child features prominent local authors & illustrators of children’s’ books, including pop-up book Author/Illustrator David Carter, author/illustrator Matt Konar (special collaboration with Gourd artist Jenn Norpchen), Author Erin Colvin with illustrations by Lori Paskey, and other authors as well as youth inspired art.  

All mediums are accepted.

Participating artists are invited to sell up to three titles of their published work in the gift shop during the show.

Entry Fees

Members; $35 first entry plus $10 per additional entry up to 3 entries max.

Non-members; $50 first entry plus $10 per additional entry up to 3 entries max.

Call-to-Artists: Through the Eyes of the Beholder

SUBMISSION DETAILS

This show will feature all formats of photography, including film, digital, experimental, color and B&W photographic images.  “Through the Eyes of the Beholder” title covers photography of people, landscapes, abstracts, manipulated imagery – it’s how you see the world whether it’s realistic or surrealistic.

Your artwork must be created by you, and that has not previously been exhibited at the Art League of Lincoln (ALL).  We remind all artists that the gallery is open to all ages, so please do not submit subjects that are adult-only in nature.

All artwork submitted must be gallery ready to hang with integral wire installed for hanging.  No sawtooth hangers will be accepted on pieces over 8” x 8”.

There will be cash prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, as well as a People’s Choice Award.  

Up to three pieces of artwork may be submitted for consideration.  Show Fee is $35 for current ALL members 1st piece, $10 each for 2nd and 3rd pieces.  Non-members $50 for 1st piece, $10 each for 2nd and 3rd pieces.  Members receive a 70/30 commission split (70% to the artist), and Non-Members receive 50/50 (50% to the artist).

TIMELINE OF EXHIBIT

  • ENTRY DEADLINE:  Entry application and payment must be received by February 22, 2023.

  • ART DELIVERY:  All artwork must be submitted in person on Sunday, February 26, 2023, between 12:00 – 3:00 p.m., to The Art League of Lincoln, 580 Sixth Street, Lincoln CA  95648.

  • NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTED ART:  Artists will be emailed acceptance by February 25, 2023.

  • EXHIBIT DATES:  The show will hang at the Gallery 580 inside the Art Center at 580 Sixth Street, Lincoln, CA, 95648 from March 2, 2023 through April 30, 2023.

  • RECEPTIONS: Thursday, March 9, 2023 and April 13, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.   

  • AWARDS: Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be awarded on the first reception March 9, 2023.  People’s Choice award will be awarded on the April 13, 2023.

  • PICK UP ART:  Artwork must be picked up after the show on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Art League of Lincoln requests that if you are unable to pick up your artwork during the allotted time, please make your own arrangements to have it picked up for you!  Thank you!
