President's Message

To my fellow Art League members & guests:

The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced challenges none of us anticipated. As the state of emergency evolves, our highest priority remains the health and safety of our volunteers, members, and the general public.

Accordingly, we have closed the Art Center at 580 Sixth Street temporarily to support public health officials and their efforts to contain the virus' spread.

We recognize and accept our responsibilities to adhere to public health authority guidelines, which include minimizing gatherings. Thus, we have also cancelled all art activities normally conducted at the Art Center. This includes exhibits, classes, and demonstrations.

We are also postponing Clay Day, originally scheduled for May 9 to an as-yet-to-be determined date in September.

We will announce new dates and events via our website, newsletter and social media.

Please be assured that we will reopen when public health authorities announce it is safe to do so.

We appreciate your continuing support and understanding. And, we look forward to announcing when you can return to the Art Center.

Paul Apfel, President, Art League of Lincoln
